Get your dives out of the Halcyon Symbios
Halcyon’s own app doesn’t export dive files yet, so we use one of two free tools that read the Symbios directly and save a standard UDDF file. Both work with the Symbios Handset and HUD.
Option A — Dive Exporter (iPhone/iPad, easiest):
- Install Dive Exporter from the App Store.
- It connects to the Symbios over Bluetooth — no cable, no Halcyon app needed.
- Download your dive and share/save it as UDDF (AirDrop it to your computer, or open it right here on your phone).
- Drop the UDDF file below.
Option B — Subsurface (Windows/Mac, free):
- In Subsurface: Import → Import from dive computer → choose Halcyon → Symbios Handset (or HUD) and download your dives.
- Then File → Export → UDDF (or Subsurface XML) and drop that file below.
Subsurface added direct Symbios support in mid-2025, so make sure you’re on a recent version.

Accepted: UDDF · XML · CSV
These apply to all generated QR codes — useful when the whole batch was in similar conditions. Leave anything blank to fill it in the app instead.
The site ID is the number in a MySSI dive-site page URL. Usually it’s easier to pick the site in the app after scanning.
